Oialla

Oialla is an award-winning wild bean-to-bar chocolate rated amongst the best chocolate in the world. It is the creation of Danish chef and businessman, Rasmus Bo Bojesen and made from criollo beans; considered the finest, purest cocoa beans in the world - taken from the world’s original cocoa trees dating back to the Incas.

Rasmus takes an arduous journey to reach the wild cocoa trees in Bolivia's north-eastern province Beni. From Denmark, he takes five flights, spends a day canoeing on the dark Amazon river, then walks 15km through mud to reach the ancient trees that grow on islets in a mangrove swamp. The length Rasmus goes to to find the best sources reflects his commitment to producing chocolate of the highest quality.
